I find it hard to believe that there people in all cultures that can seriously believe the stuff he said. I sincerely hope it was some sort of put on.
At least the physicist spoke with logic, he just couldn't get through.
I especially like this part:

Anything that has no indication in the Koran is false. Uh, the world is full of things that are not discussed in the Koran. Television and the internet for one. Heck the western hemisphere isn't discussed in the Koran, so are we false? Do we not exist?

I have a friend in school whose a die hard conspiracy theory nut. She is 100% certain that the earth is flat and gets angry if you tell her otherwise. She says the government has snipers all around the edge and whoever gets close gets shot. *sigh*

We may laugh at this video but the scary part is that a large part of the western world has similar beliefs; creationism, spirituality, reincarnation, etc, etc.

They can never explain why the government is trying to keep it a secret. What possible advantage the government gains from convincing everyone that the earth is spherical.

It made me feel a little better that there is a subtle tone to the whole video that they're rebutting the "earth is flat" guy's blather. Nobody's every rude to him, but they do seem to be focused on pointing out the silliness in his opinions.

« Stadsman : We may laugh at this video but the scary part is that a large part of the western world has similar beliefs; creationism, spirituality, reincarnation, etc, etc. eh? you do know that we are not laughing at the guy for believing in a God, but because he believes such foolish ideas such as the Earth and Sun are flat, that the Sun revolves around the Earth and that the Earth is bigger than the Sun.
Those are ideas that are easily proven wrong. Heck people proved the Earth was round and were very close in its estimated size thousands of years before Christ was born.
That is a little different than believing that God created the universe. There is no proof for or against that.
