Wait, did I miss it? Is this a website for black people only? In that case, carry on.Well we (The Soft-Headed Environmentalist Hippie Wack-jobs of America [SHEHWJA]) did get together one day to figure out the most impotent ways to save the environment.

We were going to decide on ethanol, but that's being promoted by both the conservative corn lobby and the motor industry. That's doing a great job of driving up food prices, consuming nearly the same amount of gasoline, and generally being a fad that won't help anything or anyone.

So that's no good.

Then we thought about fixing the economy by borrowing more money from China and giving it to the people, but Bush beat us to that one too.

In the end, we decided to do something we thought was kind of neat in order to simply raise awareness that we're going to have to make changes in our lifestyle in the not-so-distant future.

LCDs have a permanent backlight and produce black by blocking that light out, essentially just producing heat instead.
