It is actually a misconception created by (surprise!) bottled water industries, that bottled water is better to drink than tap water. In reality, most tap water is just as good, or better, than bottled brands.

Selling plain water, that is usually bottled out of a community water supply, has to rank way high on the icebox for eskimos scale.

Marketing at it's best.

It would be a harmless laugh if it weren't for all the plastic bottles it contributes to our landfill.
