I can't believe charges weren't filed, he was only fired.

The video doesn't show him beating her, he pushes her up against a wall after she resists and doesn't stop screaming at the top of her lungs after being placed in a chair. Up to that point, I believe he may not have been so out of line. He proceeded to turn off the camera, and when it was turned back on she was seen on the floor in a pool of blood. That's pretty suspicious. It has also been brought up that she had a high amount of alcohol in her system. Also, we must not forget that she was an inmate and give her the 100% innocent card. She was there for a reason. I am in no way saying what the police officer did was right,or that she deserved such treatment, but it was not unprovoked.

It is pretty suspicious..pretty damning, in fact. He should have called for help if she was too unruly and unmanageable for him alone..and should certainly have allowed her to make a phone call, that is everyone's right upon arrest..and seems to me what set her off.

True, but it shouldn't matter what she said or did, police officers should never use more force than nessasary.

Why do those cameras even have off-buttons? When someone is acting like that and is uncooperative, you put them in a cell until they calm down.
Her hands were bound, how can *this* be provoked? Another cop who needs to have his citizenship removed for a while..

Additional info and pics of her injuries - only a few of which could easily have been the result of her accident, especially the seat belt mark across her left shoulder. The rest she clearly didn't walk in with, and no way were from a 'fall'.

You don't get two black eyes and a rediculous fat lip from falling down. That would also be hard to inflict on yourself with your hands behind your back.
Time to get the pitchforks and torches!

I dunno, the cop may have given her a few bruises but if it is actualy policy to only have the camera rolling for the breathe test and the fact that she was constantly resisting and trying to exit the room. I could see someone this drunk and uncooperative falling and hurting herself, the cop however should have restrained her to a point where she wasn't a harm to herself though. And she was in a hit and run acccident.. of course she had bruises on her when she came into the station..

That is no way from falling, no way. Most people who fall face first and can't use their hands to stop themselves will strain their neck up and hit their chin, it's a natural instinct to do so because the nose is such a vulnerable area and the chin bone is far stronger, it's instinct.

Very true but if they would have shown pictures of when she first came into the station after the hit and run accident I'd be more willing to beilieve that maybe some of those werent' already there.. and in any case if she was a hit and run drunk driver and was still resisting when they finally caught her and got her to the station then I don't really have much sympathy for her. Who knows what or who she hit..

Who knows what or who she hit.. Well her hands were handcuffed behind her back. This officer has been written up several times for excessive force and the video shows how she looked before she came in.
I'm not sure I especially sympathize with her but that cop needs to be prosecuted because what he (probably) did to her was illegal.
