The idea that they played video games and watched TV paints a picture but there was no evidence in the article or in statements made that supports that they knew what was going on during that week.She apparently told police the night before they were called to the house that she went in and checked on him but thought he was asleep, so she wedged a bottle next to him in the carseat so if he woke up he could eat. However, in the opening statement of the story, it states he died with his eyes open which really couldn't be mistaken for being asleep.

There is no way they didn't hear that baby cry. Babies let you know when they are hungry. And soiled. They ignored him. For EIGHT days! Even if they were wasted for that whole time, they still ignored him. Kind of hard to forget you gave birth to a child five months ago.]]>207381
