I agree; it's not. In fact, I was looking for some pictures of last night's eclipse.

it doesn't take a genius to work out that this post is to membershipscript's own site and he is using Plime to drum up some business.

Those pictures are of a solar eclipse anyways. yesterday's eclipse was a lunar eclipse. The moon turned red. Edit: and its from 1999.
Its a shame you missed it. I was so excited to see it. (Im a space freak!)

eh .. eclipse photos are neat. but i haven't seen a timelapse video of a lunar or solar eclipse. that would be interesting.

I actually got quite a few really descent photos using my little compact digital camera and a tripod.

That's what I was thinking. I tried to take pictures but I didnt have a tripod so they came out terribly.

Yeah - it's impossible without the tripod. Even makeshift stands/props won't work very well when you're shooting at night at maximum zoom.
