Elmo doll goes from cute, to evil as it spouts Death Threats

The Elmo Knows Your Name doll has suddenly taken an evil turn, going from singing happy songs and telling its owner his favorite color, it now giggles "Kill James!" after parents replaced they dying batteries.

I am scared.

People are taking this seriously? I wonder if I can make money suing Sony. I once had a tape recorder that played this horrendous noise in somebody else's voice whenever I sang to the microphone.

When I was looking at one for my niece, It seemed pretty programable, that you could choose what phrases it said, for instance, at 8pm, it could say "time for bed, Jimmy"

I didn't see anywhere that she attempted to reprogram it, just put it away.

Okay, I am sorry this happened. I would not be happy either. Elmo is cute and fuzzy, and he should be thought of that way. However....

The boy is TWO! I took crayons from my two year old yesterday because he kept throwing them. Guess what? He didn't go after them. If you have to, put it under lock and key.

It sounds like Fisher Price is doing what needs to be done. I only hope this will satisfy the parents.
