What an incredible bulls**t law. What about property rights!? "Only in florida", maybe for some stories, but only in California for this type of insanity.

The headline with the term "treehuggers" is rather biased and insulting. But then who expects any media to be neutral these days.

I love trees, my property is covered with them. I would not be offended to be called a tree hugger. That would be a badge of honor.

What I find disgusting is that the want to be environmentally sound has now become a pissing contest.

He "out greened them"? WTF is that? If they were both so damned concerned about the environment, I am sure that they could have come up with a way that it worked for both of them.

THIS type of BS competition with trends and fads is exactly why I left my home state.

Yes, but generally speaking "treehugger" is a derogatory term for someone who is an extreme enviromentalist. Someone who values trees and nature more than humans.

I am not saying that is the only definition, but it is a common one. The use of that term belittles the homeowner and makes them look to be extreme activists.

Of course once your read the article it is better, but the headline is meant to be insulting or perhaps just sensationalist to sell papers.

Yes, and that is why I'd be proud.
