Insane sounding conspiracies that actually happened
Insane sounding conspiracies that actually happened
People love a good conspiracy theory. The JFK assassination plot, aliens crash landing at Roswell, the 9/11 truth movement and charges of government surveillance are all an indelible part of our pop culture.

But truth is sometimes stranger than fiction picked by doggylives 5 months ago

The attempt on Hitlers life doesn't seem to fit the insane catagory. The guy would have been quite a hero. He and many others paid a horrible price for the attempt.

In fact a few others are more like business as usual....not that I approve of any of the other 6.

Or heroic, depending on who you ask.

Agreed but I think it's in there because on the surface it sounds like an insane thing to do, heroic or not.

I agree. You know, when you think about it most heroes do things that are not actually rational.

Jumping on a hand grenade, rushing a machine gun nest, it goes on and on. I don't know how to separate the heroic from the just plain dumb catagory. I would not jump on a hand grenade. I'd try to pick it up and throw it. The result would most likely be that my whole group would be killed. I guess I'm admitting I'm not the hero type.

I suppose it's heroic if the action results in some positive effect. If it fails, well it was just stupid.

Of course if we were realistic all the time it would seriously cut into our quotient of heros and we need all we can get.

Hmmmm. If those two represent part of his base it answers a lot of questions. :)

Edit: How did a scroll bar appear? I don't know how to do that.

That happens anytime you quote with a image.
