I loved LOVED school until I was about 12 or 13, and then it became a place I hated being. I went more in Junior High(Middle) than I ever did in high school. I know how much hated to go. I hope my kids don't go through that. That being said, how does jailing the parent put the child back in school? That has always confused me. Fines, court, and maybe community service, but jail time? I don't understand this one. Are they hoping to scare the parent into making sure the kid goes to school. I went to school EVERYDAY! But I skipped many classes. Kids: Do not try this! I am just curious.

I went through a period of truancy, and if anyone from that should be punished it should have been the teachers for not noticing the troubles I was having.

But yeah, jail time is a little rough.

For one thing, who is going to be looking after kids while the parents are doing bird.
