I hope I was fast enough! At any rate, why do they have CORRECT this baby? The scans I can understand, for health issues. But the parents seem to be happy with her just the way she is.

I hope the parents relent and allow the scans. They are certainly overwhelmed having a "goddess" as a child. I loved the ending quote:

But in answer to your question, Eljay, I think that at this stage the medical professionals concerned are not after fixing her, but finding out if there is anything wrong that needs fixing. However, as the parents and villagers may well think that Western medical science is as much hokum as we in the West tend to feel about such claims as "resurrection of the goddess" it's one of those tomarto vs tomayto scenarios, I guess.
