Godless Money - De-God your Cash
Godless Money - De-God your Cash
For more than 10 years, I have spent only Godless dollars. Using a red pen or stamp, I mark a circle and slash over the word "God" (as pictured above) on every bill that passes my way. picked by doggylives 4 months ago

Ah. He has already cited that code in his blog.
My Fault.
I didn't read that far down.

He's just forcing his opinion/belief system on me.

Why? Has he been knocking on your door offering you "De-God your money" studies? or do you mean the gun to your head while you clicked the link?

Mitchell is a (mad?) man on a major and manic mission - to mollify Mammon?

Is his campaign maybe to blame for the drop of the US$ against the Euro and the GB pound, etc.?

Chill out dude.
Lay off the cheese and get some more bran in your diet.

All I'm saying is that if I post a link saying that I believe in God, I am somehow forcing my belief system on someone. If an atheist posts a link, that is somehow translated into his constitutional right and I'm just closed minded.

This was posted previously

but it was 5 months ago, so no dupe.

What is odd is it is one of the 100's of posts that have been semi-deleted.
When I first went to the page it was blank.
I was curious if it had been deliberately deleted to save space or from a bug. When I did the edit-work-around it brought it back so looks like some weird bug and not a deliberate deletion

I get the "get some more bran" = Anally retentive (?) but "lay off the cheese"? I don't get it.

I don't think so. Nobody claimed that religion was being forced upon them in the posts about that scientist finding god in the human genome and in the far corners of astronomy.

Yes, it is, I admit it, and I'm only showing off the fact that I have a list of "daily dictionary" emails, sorted alphabetically...

I've said this before and I'll say it again: This man is going to an awfully stupid amount of trouble to "DeGod" money. I don't believe in god myself, but this guy is on a pointless mission, What does he hope to achieve? Does he think by doing this he will somehow sway the faith of those that believe in god?

Just goes to show you don't only get religious extremists.

I'm an atheist. I don't do this myself, but I know at least one other atheist who does.

I'd like to do this, I'm just too lazy.

I'm not a fan of "God" on money. Personally, I think it's wrong to have there... and that it's kinda insulting to God.

But this seems like a lot of effort for something that will only really "make a statement" to those who already know what the statement is supposed to be.

I'd label this an "ineffective protest."

This is ridiculous.

Anyone that crosses out God on the money is a little too sensitive.

I'm more worried about how we really only have "fake" money. I like the bills I get that say "this is not real money" :).

Needless to say...how is he going to fix all the pennies and nickels, etc. he gets?

Does anyone actually look at their bill most the time when they're paying? no.

Also something interesting to think about is that when this guy spends money (whether or not he's crossed god out) he's not endorsing God. But when others spend their godless money they're endorsing atheism.

Too much effort for too little effect imo.

Plus if God was already in the money, crossing out his name wouldn't take him out of the money.
