Aren't such threats, implications of extortion, and instigating a riot illegal acts?

I think this may have a bearing on this case that hasn't been explored before.

I believe there was a witness that heard the phrase "Hey, Al's in the car."

That may account for the reloading.

Imagine this scenario...

instead of police officers (including an african-american) in the car that was hit by the groom as well as threats of a gun being at hand, it was the groom who was in a car that was being rammed by another civilian who claimed to be armed as well.

Now imagine the police behaving in the manor that certain people believe they should and did nothing to protect the groom in the car because

1. they didn't see a gun and

2. according to city policy a 2000+ pound vehicle is not a deadly weapon even though a baseball bat weight 2 pounds can be considered a deadly weapon

or even if they attempted to take the time to slow things down, assess the situation and try to shoot out the tires like on tv...

Even if the groom survived Al Sharpton would be calling for the firing of the police officers and suing the city for failing to protect the citizens.

It would be the opposite reaction if it the groom was the victim instead of the criminal.

(and of course mr. Al ignores that only 1 of the police officers that defended themselves are whites)

All that being said the real criminals here, the real ones that should be ashamed of themselves is the media, the democratic party, the presidential candidates who run to kiss his ring, Bush - who welcomed him to the White House late last year, all the various tv shows who have him on air to spout his drivel.

All those who ignore his multiple previous extortions and riots that he inflamed resulting in several deaths. They are the ones who should be fired and who should be exiled to north dakota along with Al.

Al Sharpton is a media whore and a racial opportunist.

You never see him fighting against injustice if it's a white person that's been treated unfairly. In fact, while I could be wrong, I don't remember him fighting against injustice against any person other than a black person.

IN FACT, I can't even remember him fighting against injustice unless it's a white on black crime.

I think Al Sharpton is an opportunistic leech. But you do have to admit that as he ages, he looks more and more like Shepherd Book which does get him at least one cool point. :)

Wow...a Firefly reference. Very good catch..although it probably fell on deaf ears since the show never got as popular as it deservered to be. I actually didn't learn about the show until AFTER it was cancelled. :)

He may LOOK like Shepherd Book, but he will never BE Shepherd Book. In order to be like Book, he would need to learn compassion and disregard of social status and race.
