Wow, that's messed up.

How would they know for sure that the fact their child isn't doing so well in school wasn't a result from the brain being slammed against the skull when it was dropped as an infant?

Ummmm.... if those ADULTS want to jump off a building to celebrate/honor the birth of their children, then by all means go for it.

The BABIES don't have a say in the matter. Children are at the mercy of their caregivers. They shouldn't be harmed in the name of "culture and traditions". IMO

I usually don't judge traditions, unless it hurts others, especially children.

Regardless people believed it was scientifically healthier at the time. It is outdated, but it wont change any quicker than tail docking or ear cropping.
