Why was BPD officer not booked, shown on arrest list?
A Boise Police officer was cited for driving under the influence Saturday morning – but didn’t show up on the arrest list on the Ada County Sheriff’s Office website. The omission is leading some to ask if an officer is treated differently than the general public. picked by muppet 6 months ago

I done see anything wrong here, not in the slightest. It is all quite logical. He was arrested instead of just being let off with a warning, they notified the newspaper of the arrest. No, nothing wrong at all

I think you might be being sarcastic? I can't tell, but I agree with what you are literally saying. It seems like the police department handled this properly and yes, i would imagine out of necessity/trust police officers who are arrested are treated differently. If you trust someone to catch lawbreakers, you have to give them the benefit of the doubt on meeting court appointments for minor crimes. (In terms of running out on a charge, a DUI is a minor crime)

No I was being completely serious. I don't think anything was done wrong here. Actually it was a lot more fair than you'd expect.
