She(Rowling) probably read the series when she was younger and enjoyed it. Certainly she's not the first to do this, and she won't be the last. Stories have been written and rewritten for years. And no, the plots don't compare. One is written to a group of 10 year olds the other is written to a group of intelligent pre-teens who are beginning to see adult feelings and thoughts bud within them. The difference in their writing is the difference between a classic and 'yet another book on the Library shelf'

I enjoyed HP. I Loved Enders Game. HP was a way to pass time and it interested me, EG was a passion to get through and it enthralled me.
