Music can improve the taste of wine
Music can improve the taste of wine
Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence said Robert Fripp. Professor Adrian North says that once you've filled the cup of silence you should fill your wine glass and enjoy the two.

I'd always thought it the other way round, but what do I know? picked by pocksucket 3 months ago

The label can also improve the taste of wine. At least there have been many tests done with professional wine testers and reviewers where they would label the bottles with higher priced labels as tasting better even when the wine was switched from actual bottles.

What's funny is even during blind taste tests when drinking red wine that they see and are told came from a white wine bottle and vice-versa the so-called "professionals" gave reviews as if the white wine was indeed red.

I like to kid myself that I can tell a good wine from a bad, but in truth, as long as it doesn't make my eyes water or my throat bleed I'm good.

Did you ever see the Penn & Teller BS about bottle water?

That's some impressive labelling power.

I don't like dry wine so I typically go for Port, Riesling, or dessert wines. Outside whether a wine falls into one of those three categories I can't usually tell except whether the bottler missed the categorical mark entirely.

I hate whine! Those whiners just complain, complain, complain. I always ask them if they want cheese and crackers to go with that whine. Wait. This is about WINE, not whine! Nevermind.
