The daily Blick said the 29-year-old man took a run-up from inside the room so he could spit further, but lost his balance and plummeted 6.4m to the street below.
Is it really bad that I find this funny?

Not only was this guy an idiot, he was going about it all wrong.
It's all about the air pressure. Running up the spit point will add what? About 2 mph of velocity? pfft... that's nothing.
The real power comes from the diaphragm.
