Dallas police Lt. Scott Bratcher said the accident remains under investigation. But he said it probably will be ruled Mr. Loncar's fault because he "failed to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle."

Which, I guess, means that the firefighters and occupants of the other car who were injured have a case to bring against Mr Loncar.

I wonder if he will offer to represent them.

The firetruck was obviously headed to an emergency, but didn't get there. Can the people involved in that emergency sue Mr. Loncar for damages, since the lack of the firetruck may have made their situation worse?
