Taser should be an option only when you would consider using a gun, the taser should be the step barely before lethal force.

Of course not! Tazing someone having a seizure is perfectly acceptable... hell ... beat em with the nightstick or put a bullet in them for good measure... and while we're at it... Taze someone for expressing their opinion at a political gathering... OH ... or for expressing their religious beliefs... if you wear a turban or a burka..... taser their ass...

Tasers have become the main means of punishment by law enforcement instead of a non-lethal defense. Police who are too lazy or stupid to differentiate between a threat and someone who needs assistance... Even when they are told by the people surrounding them... will resort to the tazer with no hesitation...

I also love how they said he was tazed twice, but there were 12 sets of burn marks on his body from the tazer... .hrmmm... wonder how that could have happened?

The punishment for improper taser use should be getting tased the same number of times.

I bet cops would think twice about casually tasing everyone if they knew the consequence was 12 taser hits...
