Pirate’s Booty - An ex-Jack Sparrow spills on life at the Magic Kingdom
Disney warned us we were going to have a lot of horny women coming on to us. They were also worried about girls. I heard Disneyland had an Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She was very flirtatious, and they finally pulled her because men found her too sexually arousing and were acting out. picked by doggylives 3 months ago

If I looked anything like him I'd totally dress up as jack sparrow. As it stands, my closest celebrity lookalike is probably David Cook. >_<

Thanks for posting that link. I actually enjoyed reading that for some strange reason. In my youth I wanted to be a character at a Disney park. I thought it would be the neatest/fun thing. Now, hmm...if I would have known I could have got lots of dates, I would have went to Florida and tried to get a job..lol.

So sexy. I'd flirt with him too.
sidenote:
There were people who would come to our architecture lectures and tell us about interning for Disney. We would help build "authentic" housing for the park. It sounded fun but when the person left, our professor would rip on it saying that it's not architecture that you're building..blah, blah, blah. I tuned her out.

I am surprised to hear that there are so many rules to being a Disney Character.

I always wanted to play the part of the Evil Queen from Snow White but reading that totally changed my mind. It seems like it would take all the fun out of it.

Yeah, you'd have to be nice to the kids and save them from poisoned apples. That would be lame.

Doesn't sound at ALL worth it, unless that's the only way to date "an Ariel". No, still not worth it. *shudder*

Actually it'd be awesome to get a costume and put it on inside the park and just do w/e. You could be totally in character without having to answer to some punk boss.

Come on, the only way he was able to date an Ariel is because he was hot enough to be a Jack Sparrow.

Disney's scary.

That is such a good idea! You wouldn't even get blamed for anything you did while wearing the costume!

I just wonder if you could get banned from the park for impersonating a character. They don't seem to mind people impersonating Jack Sparrow out in public but I don't know...

Why would someone want to go to that park more than once, especially when you could impersonate a character instead of repeated trips? Even if they did want to go more often, after a few years, wouldn't the people at the park forget the whole incident?

Haven't you ever heard the joke?

Why do mermaids wear seashells?

Because B shells are too small, and D shells are too big! :D

This story was awesome, I love hearing from the strange dark underbelly of the Disney corporation. This reminds me of the Disney town, Celebration, but that place is much worse.

Actually, adult's aren't able to enter Disneyland if they're wearing costumes. When I went last November, the teenager in line in front of us was dressed like a weird fairy (wings and all) and they told her only small kids could dress up. We heard a nice long lecture on how adults can't dress up. Poor girl had to go home and change...
