This has got to be one of the worst cases of government interference in citizens' lives since 1933 Germany.

Forget about how bad white supremacy is, to rip apart a family, to take children away from the parents because they have a different belief system than what is considered proper is wrong.

This isn't a belief in sexual molestation, drug use, or similar. This is a belief in racism. Are they really going to take away the children of all racists?

Certainly never heard of children of blacks, so-called "native americans", asians, latinos, etc being taken away because their parents are racist and preach "blank" power.

Yes, Nazism was a terrible blight upon humanity, but in the end it shouldn't be enough to take the children away. Doing so is the beginning of a very slippery slope. Most people would agree that Nazism is evil and shouldn't be taught, but once we accept that parents can lose custody of their children because of a belief in "white power", what's next? What is the next belief that the government comes and rips a family apart for?

Again, I am hardly advocating racism - in any form. Just pointing out that removing a child from her home because of a different set of ideological beliefs is a bad precedent.

Take the children away if they are not being given the basic necesities to survive on their own or are not being taken care of properly, not because of their teachings.

If the later were enforced, then all the little christian children should be removed from their homes for being taught falacies about the reality of the world.

I was wondering the same thing. That is part of the problem. She has to leave her husband, take away the child's father just to satisfy the views of the State and in order to be able to get her children back.

I have to say that I'm proud that in America you have the right to be a prick and raise your child to be a prick. Not because it's a good thing to be, but because it means I have my own freedom to teach my own values...which unfortunetely doesn't ALWAYS happen, but we try close...like when it comes to discipline for example.

I have to disagree with a lot of the comments here. I don't necessarily agree with removing a child from their home because of the ideological beliefs of a parent, but I can't not believe that this is a healthy environment for a child to be raised in.

We're talking about a seven year old child being sent to school wearing a swastika. How would you feel if you were a parent with a Jewish...or any child of colour in that class?

And I understand that other ideologies promote hatred of people - but I'd like to think that if a seven year old child wore a t-shirt to school that said "I hate gays" it would be investigated. I'm fairly certain it wouldn't result in the removal of the child from it's home, but it would be completely unacceptable.

And what do you mean 2manyusersnames but saying "so called 'native-americans' " I think a lot of your backlash to this issue is a feeling of reverse racism that has honestly became an issue for a lot of white people. And I can sympathize with that.
