Almost ignored your article because I thought it was an actual attack on gay marriages. "How stupid they are" could refer to either the arguments or the marriages, just one of the inadequacies in the English languish.

It wasn't until I read it, and saw the name of the author that I knew it would be showing the ludicrousness of the arguments against gay marriage (or whatever term you want to call it. I really don't understand how some want to argue semantics and just call it something different)

Haven't read Joe the Peacock in some time - don't know why, he is a good writer and I used to read his stuff all the time. Thanks for sharing this and reminding me to read more of his work.

Yeh, the guys a great writer. I love some of his commentary on this list.

I don't really agree with the arguments against (I'm pretty neutral on the whole issue) but the arguments for are anything but spectacular ideals of logic and wisdom.

EDIT: I remember seeing some of his previous articles. It's not so much that he's a terrible writer, he just drones on at great lengths. But his arguments are really weak. I skimmed through the last half.

anyway im all for gay marriage, partly as theres no reason why they shouldn't be together legally but mostly, if im honest, because of how much it annoys christian extremists. i need more popcorn...

Why do people need to interfere in others lives to the extent that they will even tell them who the can and cannot marry?

People that use the Bible as their argument about the Morality of homosexuals should maybe turn their wrath on the people who work on the Sabbath. The bible says we should kill them. So Sharpen your knives bible thumpers and get ye to the mall this sabbath day!!

As Someone who lives with two very anti-gay peoples I feel I can answer a few questions.




1. If you allow gay marraige then you might as well roll out the welcome matt, and that is nothing something a country founded by christians would do.

2. The Gays are out in hollywood, and their in the government right now degrading the hell out of us so that gay marraige will seem acceptable by comparison.

3.Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.



Although they both seem to be perfectly ok with women voting, and eating pork :/

I love the way people like this pick and choose parts of the bible that back up the bigoted s**te they want to believe but disregard the rest.

The Old testament is full of crazy s**t. Animal sacrifices, single men killing whole armies with one donkeys jaw bone, stoning adulterers to death, tiny men killing giant men with pebbles, talking bushes, talking snakes, oceans being parted ect ect.

Yeh, it's a great book to live your life and base your beliefs on.

Suprisingly no. They just think that this country would be better if everyone were upright, straight christians. They are good people tho, they don't act like a*****es, just sound like it sometimes.

What people don't realize is that the Old Testament is the history of the Jewish people, and the history of the law. It also contains the prophecies of the Messiah.

It is not currently law, and it should not be used for any legal arguments imo.

We oughta round up all of them Christians and send them back to where they came from...
