Being in a shelter is very scary for most dogs. It's not a "good" place to be. Some may show some aggression just because of the stress of the environment. Shelters are also overcrowded right now with owners facing foreclosure, or having a hard time financially, and dumping their pets. Adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized every day due to lack of space at shelters. Some shelters just don't care and after a 3 day hold on a stray, stuff them all in a gas chamber. Owner surrenders can be euthanized immediately because no one is looking for them (stray).

It's a sad situation.

I find it so sad that so many vets turned them down before they found one that would take them. I guess it's like a doctor turning down a patient. I just think that if you are in that profession and you have a choice to save a life, then why wouldn't you?
I find it sad that people just refuse to take responsibility. I probably would have gotten it checked out by a vet and taken it home, then put posters and adds up everywhere. But I guess that is just me.

As far as I can see, Buddy did nothing wrong. Putting your mouth on someones arm is not the same as biting, come on!
