Mygallons.com: Tomorrow's Gas, Today's Prices
Save money by pre-purchasing gas at today’s prices, then fill up with your MyGallons Card when prices rise. No matter how high prices at the pump will go, the price of the gallons you’ve purchased will be locked-in.

Not sure if this has been posted before, I searched, didn't find and I took a chance. picked by punthe 3 months ago

This is exactly how Southwest Airlines has been able to do so well lately without all the BS price hikes and such. They did a hedge buy on fuel many years ago and are paying about 50 dollars a barrel for fuel. Not with this service mind you, I'm just sayin'

Having said all that, I think this particular service is going to fail...they don't tell you how much you are being charged for the gas until AFTER you activate your card. How can you decide if it is worth it if they set the price but won't tell you that price until after you provide the means to pay for it? Plus, there is a membership fee. And an overdraft fee.

Old adage: if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Aside from those testimonials, have any plimates actually tried it? I trust you more than them.

Why not just stockpile a bunch of gas in your basement and cut out the middle man?

I used to work for a major railroad. This advanced fuel purcahsing is how they keep things running, purchasing hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel at a time. And you are right... they get hosed if the prices drop significantly.
