They're going to have an awful hard time proving anyone went to the site an purchased material with the explicit intent of cheating. A lot of those kids probably didn't realize there were live questions.

I absolutely agree. My guess is about half of those kids had no idea what so ever that what they were doing was wrong. It'll be a shame if they get tied in with the others, but it is definitely a possibility.

Hopefully Scoretop did not store any real user info with linkable to account names. I hope they were smarter than that.

A) It's a pay site, they will have credit card information that is linked to accounts and user names.

B) They have documentation that people violated their non-disclosure policy.

Again...If you're going to be stupid, you have to be tough.

Edit: typos are neither a part of stupidity nor toughness. ;)

They did not cheat.
They broke the rules of the testing company. They are in breach of their contract. That's not the same as cheating on a test. The lazy bums at GMAC should NOT recycle their problems for that long to start with.

They have docs about the payments, but not necessarily do they have a table about accounts and user info. They can just have a payed accounts table without any record of who's accounts are those. After an account is activated as payed one, there is no real need to keep any payment information or any link to the real life data.
Now even if someone payed an account he can state, he gave it as a gift to his/her significant other, so if it was a gift, then he is not responsible for how it was used.
There is no way to prove who was actually online, who posted the messages in the forums, etc...

There is no way to prove who is sitting in front of my computer now. Is this me, or did I just forget to log out yesterday and someone is using my computer, found this nice site where I have checked to keep me logged in, and he can post this message.
