If you get caught f**king in public in most countries you can get arrested. I know for a fact that if you get caught doing the nasty dance in England in a public place that it's an arrestable offence, I know this from personal experience :D

They'd been cautioned once, hardly unreasonable that she got arrested the second time round. In this country at least if a cop cautions you for something like this and then finds you again doing exactly the same thing then you're asking to get your ass hauled off.

The article mentions her partner briefly a few times, but it is "the woman" who is being targeted in the article.

It might, not saying it is, but it might be the case that whoever she was with was calm and approachable whereas she may have been loud, drunk obnoxious and aggressive which would certainly fit in with the charges.

Sounds like they were trying to MAKE an example. She knew the customs. It's amazing the officer let them off with a caution when he saw them.

No, the man seems to be facing the exact same charges and the exact same penalties.

The only difference is the woman is the one trying to use her female status to gather sympathy and hope for assistance.

I don't see her "using" her female status for sympathy at all. She didn't write the article. They only interviewed her and not her partner.

I see the media portraying the story how they wish it to be seen.

She obviously is an active participant in the news coverage and was likely a driving force behind it being in the news.

Nothing wrong with that in the slightest. Anyone with the least amount intelligence will utilize any weapon they have to help them.

Gaining the help of the public is part of that effort.
