Largest Animal Shelter in U.S. Will House 2 Dogs Trained to Have Sex With Women
A mixed breed and a Labrador, formerly owned by Diane Sue Whalen of Tulsa County, have been accepted by the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, said Barbara Williamson, spokeswoman for the animal sanctuary.

The dogs — named Lucky and Buddy — will be taken to the no-kill sanctuary next month.

Whalen, 54, and Donald Roy Seigfried, 55, were charged with felony crimes against nature after Whalen's adult son found more than 150 tapes of his mother performing sex acts with her dogs and a blue heeler owned by Seigfried. Seigfried was accused of filming the acts.

« Mershaullk : If someone chooses to sell their body, that's their choice and their body. No one has any right to tell them that they can't because it isn't hurting anyone else. It shouldn't be a crime and is only so because of most of humanity's prudish nature towards sex.
Now see, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one. Sure, if all prostitution really was just about freely willing adults wanting to get it on, that would be one thing and I would agree that it was rooted in prudishness.

But prostitutes (with the rare exceptions of legal brothels) are frequently forced into it and don't see the profits. It becomes someone else selling their body, using them up and convincing them they are worthless as humans, except as depositories for some other human's semen. And that's wrong. As is the rape, drug addiction (forced on them or tricked into it), human trafficking, etc. that goes with it. And society is wrong to approve the selling of a woman's body (not just in prostitution, but in a cultural concept).

I would have to agree with Mersh and say that while I am disgusted by bestiality I cannot think of anything that makes it wrong to do.

For your attention, Ms. Whalen in the flesh.

« gammerus : So how do you feel about rape then? Many women who are raped are not physically harmed, but they are emotionally scarred for life. What bearing does this have?
That's what I meant by that statement. It would have to be some severe emotional scarring to warrant any kind of legal action.

Taunting/trying to make someone feel bad = No legal action.

Rape = Legal action.

It's wrong. Period. It is okay to say that. Something are just wrong and don't really require that much analysis. It's a f**king DOG. She was banging A DOG.

I'm all for debating, etc. and putting out counterpoints and playing devil's advocate and thinking about the implications of certain viewpoints, but at the end of the day, this chick was banging a couple of dogs on video. If you really don't see anything wrong with that, you need to re-evaluate your priorities.
And you need to attempt to include at least some kind of rationality or logic in your arguments if you think you're ever going to get someone to see where you're coming from.

This may sound strange, and I'm just riffing here, but maybe it has something to do with the kind of sex they're having. On the one hand, penetration seems like it's going to harm the animal and therefore would be cruel. Other acts might not be so invasive, so it would be only a matter of degree mentally for a dog from petting or rough housing.

Of course, society has a democratic right to impose certain values, I feel, and so I think it's still correct for them to outlaw whatever they wish. But then again, just let them try and enforce it. This person found out that they can enforce it......WHEN YOU MAKE 150 TAPES OF YOURSELF HAVING SEX WITH A DOG!

Then make that illegal. Have some kind of system set up to make sure that the person is willing. That same system could also determine if the person has any STDs.

And that's wrong. As is the rape, drug addiction (forced on them or tricked into it), human trafficking, etc. that goes with it. And society is wrong to approve the selling of a woman's body (not just in prostitution, but in a cultural concept).
The selling of anyone's body is only wrong if the that person does not agree with the selling. I challenge you to give me one logical reason that a person should not be able to do whatever they please with their body as long as it is not harming someone else.

I normally agree with you on stuff vex, but it annoys me when people say things like this. Why does mersh have to "re-evaluate his priorities"?

Just because you personally don't agree with it doesn't mean that someone who has a differing opinion has to "rethink" theirs.

Do I have sex with animals? Not much, errrrr, I mean, no.

Do I think animal abuse is wrong? Yes.

Do I find the idea of sex with an animal a turn on? No

But I don't think I'd judge someone adversely who did.

Child abuse leaves kids with emotional scars and often leads to severe depression and suicide. A "victimless" crime? No, most definitely not, which is why it's such a deplorable act. But I don't seriously think for one moment that having sex with an animal that isn't being forced or harmed in any way is going to affect the animal adversely, so I don't see the huge problem with it personally.

No, that's not rationality because you aren't directly addressing the issue. Exactly what about having sex with an animal other than humans is criminal? Who are they hurting? We can't determine for sure that they're hurting the animal, so that's thrown out the window. Of course, studies could be done into the subject, and if the act is indeed hurting the animal, it should be outlawed, but I bet you wouldn't be willing to let any organization to do any studies anyway. No one should be criminalized unless it is certain that they are doing something wrong. Innocent until proven guilty.

Wait... I'm not arguing in favor of animal rights here, btw.

I'm just saying that there has to be a line drawn somewhere when it comes to things like having sex with, you know.... non-humans?

This moral relativism is out of control.

The problem is that you aren't distinguishing between 'wrong' and 'prisonworthy'. No one here is suggesting that it isn't disgusting, and I wouldn't blame anyone if they were shunned by the community, but you need to make a case as to why this deserves a prison term.

Alright, for the sake of debate, a premise: A 13-year-old girl has been having sex with her stepfather, who is 50. She swears up and down, left and right it was consensual. That she loves him and he loves her and it's all kosher.

Except it's not. Under the law, their relationship is wrong. She cannot give consent to sex. And society at large will say it is also wrong because there is probably some level of coercion; the older man should have known better and should have stopped the relationship.

And if I don't answer anything for a while, it's because I'm at work and can't respond. But I'm probably plurking.
