Please tell me that had the dog, and it's parents, fixed.

Seriously. Is this story sweet? Sure. But this is NOT a good genetic line, and it should have been culled. Maybe that makes me an awful person, but I don't believe in making animals 'learn courage' or 'learn to be brave'...It's a pet, it should have a happy, comfortable and healthy life. If that can't be provided, do the tough thing.

I believe this little dog deserved to live. She seems to be getting good things out of life, and looks happy. I would opine that this kind of thing can happen randomly. There are people born without limbs, but you wouldn't sterilize their parents, or put the children to death. It's no different here.
