The cost of cemetary plots are as much if not more than an apartment! Plus, they have a rule that after a certain number of years you can bury another person on a previously used plot. Eek!

A group in Dessau, Germany, will start building a new "Great Pyramid," which is estimated to take about 30 years to complete, be about 1,900 feet tall and 10 times larger than the Great Pyramid of Egypt. It will offer burial space in the form of a "tomb container with ashes of the deceased" and engraved "memorial stones" with time capsules to store personal memorabilia.

A woman in Potters Bar (England) was having some work done in her house when the building crew discovered a dozen skeletons in her basement.
Some research discovered that her house is built on an old Quaker cemetary. Now it seems that in order to get rid of them, the remains have to be cremated in a way satisfactory to Quakers, costing $60,000.
