Hi, I'm JaxomLOTUS. I started Worth1000 on the same day I started law school. I ran it mostly out of my school's library. By the time I graduated I didn't have to think twice about going into a career I hated - I had found the web. And now I've started Plime. I've been working on it for 2 and a half years, off and on, and finally have it ready for use. I'm 27 and married, with two children.

Left school at 16 and ran straight into a pair of turntables. Did the dj thing for nearly a decade and peaked with a 14 second slot on MTV. (Woopie)

I was diagnosed with a mild schizoaffective disorder at 19 (not drug induced) which plagued me on and off up until a couple of years ago.
Dealing with this gave me a unique education and insight into the human mind. Something I am now actually grateful for.

About 6 years ago, the novelty of being a Dj was wearing off and I began looking for a more mature career. This led to media and sales which in turn led me to the internet.
And here I am.
Bit of a general media handyman, I do consulting, some web design, advert and logo design (when I have to) and anything else my weird generic head can handle.

Current status - Happy to be here at Plime.

Hi. I'm TomPhoolry and I'm a Plime-a-holic. Quickly becoming a former Worth Junkie (former because of Plime) who was basically a forum lurker because I have no artistic abilities whatsoever. Now with Plime, I'm in my element. I can satisfy my news craving and be a bigger contributor than at Worth.

Married, empty nester and living in San Antonio. I work as a manager of quality assurance in the aircraft/aerospace industry and am a voratious reader of anything and everything. Also, a sports junkie.

Hi, i'm xxxxxpp, 22 and currently studying at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. I study Communication sciences and hope to be one day employed in producing stuff in the media. But I could end up doing advertising, journalism, public relations or politics just as easy. Time will tell.

At the moment I'm facing a dilemma. I don't want to give up worth time to be on plime, but I really like being here, so I either have to devide my time between the two sites or just cut out other stuff and make extra time :)

Hi, I'm Alton. Came here from Worth1000, which was my online residence for several years, which I discovered from Fark.

I've been a newsjunkie for years, often reading 2 or more newspapers a day (B.I. before internet), and have been listening to NPR for years.

I live in a small town just south of Austin Texas, am engaged to a wonderful woman I met just after high school (years ago), and work as a manager for a tile installation company.

When I'm not surfing the web for news and entertainment, I can be found at Party Poker playing my newfound addiction, Texas Holdem. I go by AltonGrey if you play. This has replaced my life long love of videogames, but only cause I make some money at it. Look for me at the final table of the World Series of Poker in the near future. ;)

Nintendo DS is my latest addiction outside of Plime. I loves me my Mario.

I play guitar, bass, keyboards, and sing - none of them particularly well, but not embarrassingly badly either. So if anyone wants to start a Plime bar band, gimme a holler.

First of all, let me say that yes, "hypnotode" is a reference to the beast on Futurama. The correct spelling was taken, so here I be. And yes, I am a semi-rabid Futurama/Matt Groening fan, in addition to the Worth and Plime addictions.

I'm 47, have an 18-year-old daughter, and have been married thrice. I have five cats, two dogs, and a fish. In real life, I'm a biologist. I have Meniere's disease, and deal with it on a daily basis.

I discovered Worth after purchasing "When Pancakes Go Bad". I'm a chopper (photoshopper), but like photography, too.

I like to read, mostly mysteries and historical fiction, peppered with the occasional biography. I also spend time doing crosswords and sudoku (gotta keep the Alzheimer's away).

I am MisterC, a nickname born out of desparation of getting rid of older, dumber names like "Attmay" or "FakeOut". I came in from the Something Awful forums, where I believe it was Jax was asking for more testers.

Personally, I'm 25 years old, living in Toledo, married, one daughter who's 2 and a half. I've been working in radio for 5 years now, and am sports director at a heritige AM station. Still going to college, will probably graduate on the Tommy Callahan 8 year plan. ("You know, a lot of people go to college for 8 years." "Yeah, they're called doctors! That must be you.")

I'm a pretty big sports fan, Football and Hockey are my favorites. I'm a total Mid-American Conference slappy (GO ROCKETS!).

I'm a big music guy, my Zen Micro (can't afford an iPod, booo) has everything from Portishead to Dragonforce to mc chris. I'm also pretty big on reading and some gaming, though those come with whatever free time I can wrangle.

I am titojuante, some of you may know me from W1K. I have been a member there since 2004, and I visit it almost everyday (work permitting). My real name is Mike and I am 26 y/o, 27 on Oct 15th. I have formerly been a real estate agent and also a new / used car salesman (no jokes please). I am currently a restraunt manger and the head bartender at a local restraunt & bar in St. Louis county.
The two websites I always checked out daily were Worth1000 and Fark, but since the launch of Plime I have only been to Fark a few times.

At work, I spend the TAX paying public's money, buying IT equipment for the council. At home, I'm a freelance web developer and general lay-about. I work off of a shiny PowerMac and PowerBook and would happily donate my left foot for a black MacBook.

Greetings all, I'm unzercharlie. I've been a member at W1K for almost three years now I think. Worth, Plime, and SomethingAwful are my usual net hangouts.

I hail from central Kentucky, where I work as a photographer/graphic designer for a local children's hospital. I do promotional items, video editing, event photography, surgical photography, and other various related jobs. I went to school for graphic design and just kind of fell into photography with the job, so I'm getting more and more into that all the time.

I am a 25 year old music nerd, counterstrike addict, film geek, general handyman, and internet junkie. I am constantly trying to quit smoking cigarettes. Also always looking for new indie recommendations. I'm looking forward to seeing what this place grows into. Glad to be here to see it. :)

I'm afeldman. I, like most of you, came to Plime through Worth (mainly the chopping). I have been a member of Worth for 3 and a half years. My other haunts include (or at least used to include) Digg and Fark.

I am 30 years old and I work for a money management company in the marketing department. Here at plime I will most likely be found surfing the movie section. I have been with my girlfriend for (as of October 7th) 9 years. We are getting married next June. We have 2 dogs (one of which has cancer right now), 2 cats, and a saltwater reef tank.

I never really liked reading much, but that is all changing with the development of internet news on demand. Every moment I am not working at work, I seem to be spending here.

Unfortunately, I have less time for chopping, box-pointing and texting working 2 jobs but I can find a few minutes to read a good story so I'm thankful for Plime filling my entertainment needs :)

I live in Hell (Worthers will know that means NJ) and have enumerable cats. I am not a full-fledged crazy cat lady though as I don't have the million dollars stuffed into my mattress yet.

I am a paralegal by day (for a class action/toxic tort Plaintiff attorney), a receptionist at night (for a non-profit therapy group).

I divorced last year after 10 years of separation (cause I'm impulive like that).

I usually need more sleep.
