« davbob : Maddison is now mobile. About 1 week away from 6 months and we now can't put her down and expect her to be there when we get back.
That has got to be one of the cutest things ever! I just wanted to jump in there and hug her! Ahhh you guys are so lucky!

When you're fixing a cable outside a tent that's being illuminated by floodlight from the end of the road, asking someone else to answer the walkie-talkie that is attached to your belt may lead to unexpected results.
Oooooooh so THAT's why Apex hasn't been around. Dude, let him use your computer once in a while, sheesh! ;)

Rushdie got his knighthood that was announced last year.

Didn't there used to be a time when receiving a knighthood meant something?

It seems they hand them out like candy now a days.
I halfway expect the next knighthood to be awarded to someone who won some sort of Mt. Dew Bottle Cap Contest.

i hurt myself on my scooter. :(

on my way home from school, i rounded a turn in a neighborhood too fast, and couldn't turn sharp enough. i veered off onto the grass and panicked, and set my right foot to the ground. toes hit the pavement hard, which was higher than i used to since i was on the grass.

i immediately stopped at the side of the road, and inspected my foot. no bleeding, no bruising, no scratches, nothing broken. just sore. i continued scooting on home just fine.

the part i don't get is ... my scooter is 49cc - as small a scooter you can get - how the hell can i go TOO fast on it??

anyways, here's hoping that'll be the worst motorbike accident i'll ever have ...

(by the way, i had been wearing sneakers with socks. had i been wearing sandals, i would have easily lost at least the toenail and some skin on my big toe.)

The people he encounters are so incredibly unassertive.

I hate hot weather. It's awful. It shouldn't exist.

I love the North. I love it! I want to move to Whitehorse. I don't think my SO would, though. I half-wonder if I should just give-er and do it.

There's no snow here, and I'm not even done going south. I hate hot weather. I'm mad at whoever invented it. On a happy note, I found my awesome camo-geology hat. I was sad I lost it.

So we did our garage sale yesterday and today. We made about $400 on junk. It rained last night for about a min while we had the silk furniture outside, but it dried and its fine now. More than half of my clothes were donated to an orphanage in Costa Rica and to Goodwill.

After awhile, we decided to make everything FREE. When I told people it was FREE, they couldn't believe it and begged to pay me something. It was weird. Why can't people just take FREE stuff? Why feel so guilty about it? Sheesh.

The movers come tomorrow @ 8am and I'm "almost" done packing. My dog will ride with my Mom and I get Simba. So my music for about 2 hrs will be meowing. I'm so excited about that...well, he eventually shuts up, but still.

So in about 7-8 hrs I will be in south Florida!! I am so excited! This has been one of my dreams and it came true. Finally. So yeah, I will be moving tomorrow and I will talk to you all around Monday. =0)

Our house is right on the baiyou. But don't worry, after I saw a pair of crocs swimming together while I was sitting on the dock, I've decided that water wasn't safe.

I spent 4 hours working on some last details for the maternity stationary line I'm currently working on for my boss... right after saving a jpeg for him to preview, I deleted the file. As any normal person would think, it's no biggie right? So I go to the recycle bin only to see that it's not in there. I searched for it and nothing either. The piece of s**t file just vanished (It's the work computer which is a crappy dell.) I downloaded a recovery program and nothing. The damn file is gone.
So now I get to spend my weekend reworking it all (I was smart enough to have emailed the file the day before.) Yay chez, way to go! -.-
