My buddy Brent, who I mentioned here sent me a text message early this afternoon.

"hey its brent sorry its been a couple weeks since we talked but guess what. i'm back in the states."


He's back from Iraq!! I completely forgot he was supposed to get back sometime before July 29th and didn't even think of the fact that I hadn't talked to him in a bit. [It's normal to go a week or two without any mail, emails or phone calls.]
Any way, the next weekend he has free, he's coming down here from Fort Benning!

Odd but interesting site, I guess.

I'm sick and tired of not letting myself smile fully in photos or on webcam with Chez and the others. Completely let myself laugh, just open my mouth and laugh.

I'm done with feeling bad about myself because of a flaw that I couldn't help.
So what if I don't have perfect teeth? I'm the only one who cares. When I complain about it, people say it's cute.
It's a gap. A f**king gap in my teeth, not a huge tumor on my face for s**t's sake.

From now on, I'm going to smile when I want to, laugh as hard as I want and not hold anything back.
If someone doesn't like me because of my teeth, they can go bathe in a fire.

At least I know I can bump into people after years of not seeing them, smile, and they instantly recognize me, no matter how many times my hair changes.

I'm done feeling like s**t about myself because of my teeth. And you know what? I don't think I want to get them fixed anymore. If I keep changing every flaw about me, then I'll never be happy with who I really am.

I have a gap.. big mother! Gaps run in my family.

A few years ago when my older brother decided to get dentures, they came in from the lab without the gap. He turned them down and told then to re-do them with the gap, "It's part of me, my personality and my family".

So, don't be ashamed of who you are!
