I read Metamorphosis a few months ago. I've read The Castle before (also Kafka).
Last couple months I've read probably 10 novels. Sometimes I get stuck reading a book right before bedtime, and it can take months to finish just one. The Illuminatus! Trilogy I managed around 2 pages a night as it always put me to sleep.
On my list to read some day is Dante's Divine Comedy. I bought it a few years ago and periodically scan a few pages.
Lately I've been reading Tami Hoag detective stories while I commute. Entertaining, but not terribly thought provoking, but it works on the train, plane and ferry.
I am TRYING to read The Sun Also Rises, Hemmingway. I'm four chapters in and still not captivated. I hate to quit a book, though, so I'll finish it and hopefully fall in love by the end.

I haven't read a real book for... well it has probly been a year now. I love to read, and I do it all the time, but I find most books to be very boring and predictable and I am too lazy to look for a good one.
I'm in the middle of "The Other Boleyn Girl" right now, and it's heartily amusing, mostly because I'm utterly fascinated by Henry VIII and his drama. Before that was the complete "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency," "Anansi Boys," and a book on Irish legends.
Just finished Murder in Mixteca by J.Royal Horton and started The Giver by Lois Lowry. That and alot of technical manuals for work. H.P.Lovecraft is still and aways has been my favorite.
I am constantly reading books. Right now I am reading We by Yevgny Zamyatin (a russian dystopian novel) The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S. Thompson Deceived by Mel White (A book about the Jonestown cult)
I also read quite a few comic books, which despite popular opinion can also be a form of art, if you don't believe me you should read The Sandman series or Watchmen.

H.P. Lovecraft is awesome, I love how every story I've read of his ends up with the main characters in hopeless situations where they cannot escape whatever supernatural horror they have awakened.
«doggylives : She spend most of her life and based most of her stories in Cornwall where I live. Her book Jamaica Inn is based on a real inn that is about 19 miles from where I live, I've eaten there a few times and one of my friends had their wedding reception there.
Her book Frenchman's Creek is set in an area about 30 miles from me as well.
Just thought I'd share that :D
plime has a member whose name is exactly the same as Stephen King, except without the "Stephen" part...and a "B" instead of a "K"...and with an "O" on the end.
Just thought I would share that.
and currently I'm reading "Stallcup’s Electric Signs and Outline Lighting" if anyone here has already read it, please don't spoil the ending.
and BT, can you send me the farting dog book when you guys are finished, sounds like one of those books with a happy end.

The Sirens of Titan, and Cat;s Cradle, both by Vonnegut. Both a wee bit lacking in the predictable department.
