17 mph over the speed limit.
What does that mean? If the limit where they live is 55 MPH, It's not going to make a whole lot of difference. Inquiring minds want to know. (I do agree that a stalking charge would be trumped up)

well, nobody is above the law, especially the physical embodiment of it (aka the policeman).
then again, if a law is unjust it should never be followed. that's not relevant here, though.

(I do agree that a stalking charge would be trumped up) residential area is 25, right? and, it would make quite a difference because the stopping distance would increase and the kid would suffer an impact that would be about twice as energetic.

Either way, this does not constitute to stalking, since stalking means :
1: repeated physical following;
2: unwanted contact (by letter or other means of communication);
3:observing a person's actions closely for an extended period of time;
4:contacting family members, friends, or associates of a target inappropriately
5:cyberstalking
None of these atributes of stalking have been shown here.

Does this mean the government is stalking people too??? Next time I get a photo radar ticket I'll sue the police station for stalking me. Like that's ever going to work. Stupid crap like this is why a lot of people have little or no respect for police officers.
