Martha Stewart is denied for telling a lie to the police???
Somehow I doubt they'd deny Bill Clinton entrance who lied to a grand jury while under oath.
Reading this one has to wonder when they'll go from denying access to visitors to kicking citizens out of the country - or worse

Banning Martha is a bit extreme, but I can get behind most of that list.

Hrmmm... but the article says
Talk show host Michael Savage - real name Michael Weiner - is also excluded. His views on immigration, Islam, rape and autism have caused great offence in America.
Little more to it than immigration... guess they aren't the only ones who omit.

It is the same thing.
he isn't against Islam - he's against militant extremist Muslims and he is against businesses and governments bending over backwards to cater to their demands even when it involves removing other people's rights or breaking the constitution. etc, etc, etc.
Don't know what the rape comment is about, but I'd venture to say he is not pro-rape.
His autism was the only comment that was stupid. It certainly is hate-filled, it isn't designed to create an armed revolution. He stated that he felt that most autism cases may be a case of a kid acting up with no discipline. Sure that is an ignorant uniformed statement but it is hardly the same as mass murder or even just advocating violence.
One also has to keep in mind that he is for lack of a better term "a shock jock". His comments are supposed to be shocking. Most of his compatriots are. Personalities on both the right and left and various combinations have said far worse
I would venture to say that a large amount of what he expresses is shared by a huge number of British people.

He said what so many of the rest of us said right here on Plime. The woman was a liar who was after money. The woman should have been arrested instead she profited from it and continues to profit. The race card was used by the criminal, the one who falsely and maliciously accused a group of innocent rich kids. It was the race card that got her the payoff.
Women should have been the ones yelling the loudest to have the con woman receive severe penalties. False accusations such as hers only makes it harder for women to convince the authorities and a jury that they were attacked.
Again, nothing wrong was said, nothing that 99% of others don't agree with and as I said, stated right here on Plime.
I don't like his show, but banning him just because of his non-violent speech is a bit much.
More importantly, instead of slapping the UK on the back and praising them for banning Phelps and yet ignoring some of the other people on the list, ask yourself what exactly this means. Ask yourself just how much of an attack on free speech is acceptable to you. Phelps may wish to take away people's civil rights, and you may feel it is okay to act the same, but really can you say that all of the people on the list are like Phelps? Do you really think that anyone who doesn't follow the current political correct view be banned from entering a country for peaceful reasons?
I'm not saying that Phelps or some of the people on the list who have committed mass murder should have free access. I am just questioning those whose only crime is having an opinion different than the current organization making the list.
How many of you would and have yelled and screamed if we were to deny people into the US for being a terrorist/freedom fighter let alone deny people into the country for feeling that merely lied to the police or felt that a person who made false accusations for personal gain should be held accountable.
It is one thing to ban someone who is likely there to commit a crime or to incite violence in their name - or even against them (that is why a ban on Phelps and his group would be justified). It is another thing altogether to ban someone for not being politically correct.
If being against criminals, if being against false accusers profiting from their crimes, if merely denying you committed a crime is sufficient grounds for being labeled Evil, what's next? What is the next thing that is grounds for banishment?
