I knew a guy with Trichotillomania. (I didn't know what it was back then). He used to just sit there, pulling his eyebrow hair out.

Great article. The last one they mention, Munchausen Syndrome, has a particularly scary, and fortunately more rare, relative called Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome in which the person with the ilness will attempt to make another person (usually their own child) ill or injured in order to get attention, or to make themself feel heroic by "saving" their life by administering CPR etc.
I found a pretty good article describing it.

I was also amused by the little mouse over ads. When I moused over the word "scalp", i was shown an ad "Buy scalp today!" No thanks, one scalp is enough for me.

I didn't know there was such a thing as 'Exploding Head Syndrome'. That explains the 'loud noise' that wakes me up some nights (Seriously!).
