I felt drivers in Dallas was OK compared to my experience even at rural places like Columbia, SC.

They were interviewing drivers on the local news last night. They all lied said that they were all polite drivers.

And in a plate of shrimp moment, they interviewed the bus driver who drove the bus I took yesterday morning.

If they would have interview me, I wouldn't have lied.

I'm a very angry driver.

I'm angry at those who do 45MPH in the fast lane of the freeway.

I'm angry at people who don't know how to use their blinkers.

I'm angry at people who cut me off. (again, without notice and without using their blinker)

And I'm VERY angry at people who hit me when I'm on my motorcycle, causing my broken wrist and broken shoulder...2 weeks in the hospital, 4 total surgeries, and almost 3 years of physical therapy.

(and I am the angry driver who will show you my middle finger when you do any of the above)

I almost got hit yesterday crossing the street when a driver stopped at the light in the left lane, decided to run the light and make a right turn.
*sings "I <3 NY*

Years ago I had the privilege of being in Houston on business. My co-worker, a young woman in her mid-20's or so, drove us around at 80 mph while chugging from a bottle of Mogen David.

Actually I've never lived anywhere where I thought the drivers were particularly polite.

I don't know about Dallas but it's right on target for NY, NJ and the Northeast in general.

The local drivers here (Fl) will drive you nuts and the ones on the interstate will kill you.
Don't know how that fits on the scale. :)

Seems there's a brain disconnect once you grab the wheel.

The pacific northwest seems to have this extremely pro bicyclist policy which is usually fine with me, until some of them ride in the MIDDLE of a road at snail speeds (by comparison to my car) and just stay there.
