My car took a softball sized rock to the windshield, some years ago. Children, throwing rocks at cars passing on the highway. They took out several semis as well. Had they passed up my car, they wouldn't have been caught, but I was able to report them quickly and that gave the cops their direction (they were fleeing the overpass over the highway when they hit my car).
One of the truckers had to be restrained. I just wanted to give the rock back.
