OK, a lot of them do look a bit masculine, bit number 1 wasn't even trying.
Not having a haircut for a couple of months is not sufficient preparation to convince the world you are a woman.

This bites simply because there aren't enough people to compete professionally in an intersex category in the Olympics. This ends up in a lot of good athletes being unable to perform. I feel especially bad for Ewa, as some women do not know that they have a y chromosome until they are tested, and their gender called into question. Often, women with a y chromosome are androgen resistant, meaning that they develop similarly to a female with two x chromosomes. They may even resist a lot of the masculinization that many women face later in life as a result of menopause. I completely understand the desire to compete on an international level without hassle. For many, being disingenuous the only way they could have been in the Olympics at all. Oh, and Natalie Jenkins - sore loser. She could have brought it up privately to the officials instead of putting on such a passive aggressive display.
