Following Kerrie's suicide attempt, doctors refused to try to save her life because she had drawn up a so-called living will in which she had expressed the wish to die. They feared that intervening could have led to assault charges.

Well...Seems pretty clear cut to me. She wrote out a legal document stating she didn't want help.
