Right, and this will absolutely prevent his stated concern because nobody ever has children out of wedlock.
And aside from this lapse in logic, did he even think about the fact that his mindset is aggravating the racism problem in this country? What he should have done is wish them well and give them hope that their love can be stronger than the backwards taunts of any racist a*****e they encounter in their lives. Instead, he implies that they're being irresponsible for seeing past skin color and that they're too dumb/immature/whatever to be able to deal with whatever obstacles that may pop up.
I hate to tell you, Mr. Bardwell, but "protecting" a couple from other people's stupidity solves absolutely nothing.

Umm, the President of the United States is "mixed". His mother was quite white indeed!
And what does he mean by mixed race. Both applicants are of the HUMAN RACE. Which is the only race recognized in civilized climes.
This couple can come to LA and be married, have kids, or not, and be welcomed here.

A friend of mine was actually complaining because her child was white. He stood out from all the others in his class and was teased for being pale skinned.
Why is it that people who are well meaning mess it up so very badly? I don't agree with this, but I do think the judge was sincere though totally wrong, wrong, wrong.

...decided to call and spoke to his wife!! She said she couldn't speak for him on why he chooses not to marry mixed couples and that he wouldn't be available to answer questions for the rest of the week. She thanked me for calling and that was that.
Amazing what information you can find on the internet these days...I wish I was able to speak to that a*****e himself though.

Jax, the owner of the plime, has said that he doesn't think that type of information should be posted on this website.
Harassing someone who is an elected official who screwed up is not responsible behavior. I did not elect that man, so MY opinion of his behavior is irrelevant. He's accountable to the people of his ward, the laws of the county, state and country. Not me.
