7-Eleven Wine Posted: 3 weeks ago by bingo
These days, it seems like everybody and their uncle are making their own wines. Even 7-Eleven (yes, that 7-Eleven).

And, whoa, Yosemite Road is quite the bargain. Both the Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon will sell for $3.99 a bottle. Who needs a Trader Joe’s, anyway?

About ten years ago, there was a Chilean label that produced both Cab and Chard for $4.99 retail in the liquor stores. They were quite drinkable.

Sounds interesting, I'll have to see if I can buy a case of red to have on hand.

Possibly Concha y Toro. They have some great wines.

I saw this about 7-Eleven the other day. They can't sell it in NY. They do sell "near wine", though.

Last I heard it costs £4 for the bottle, label and cork. What you pay above that is the cost of the wine.

Unless this is a loss leader something is sorely amiss.
