Dark Side of Oz Posted: 3 years ago by Mershaullk
Although Pink Floyd has never admitted to doing such a thing (except Roger, who stays quiet when asked), there are just a few points that should be examined. I guess you'll just have to come to your own conclusion. It's just the way it is with this band. But one thing this experiment does do is bring the theme of The Dark Side to life, whether it was intentional or not.

I have posted this twice so far, LatueofStiberty has done so once, and this is the fourth time. Welcome to the club, Mershaulk. It's always interesting with this stuff, for me anyway.

I have to admit I was fairly highly modified at the time but I caught a very interesting synchronicity while listening the Wall and watching an episode of superfriends with the sound turned down. Comfortably numb was on, and I don't know the episode of the Superfriends but Superman was trying to save the world and was in space. There was a lot of zooming in and out from space ot the earth. While Superman was trying to decifer what exactly was wrong with the earth it was going right synced up with the "Hello Hello Hello is there anybody in there". Then it clipped to the grinning kids (who were they the wondertwins or something) right on que with "just smile if you can hear me". Then aquaman did something stupid and fubar'ed the whole thing, but I SWEAR it went right to the song.

It's probably just the ability of the human mind to find patterns in any two things. There's a brilliant film on YouTube that matches Tim Burton's short "Vincent" with Oingo Boingo's song "Lost Like This" (Boingo being Danny Elfman's band, Danny would later go on to score all of Burton's movies except "Ed Wood"). It's still amusing, tho.
