What is also interesting (by interesting I mean disgusting and obscene) is the holidays they chose not to remember such as Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.

They honored Sputnik (as they should have) but thumb their noses at the men and women who fought for Google's founders to become ultra-wealthy and to enjoy all the freedoms they have.

They had no problem running special logos remembering Australia’s ANZAC day (their equivalent to Memorial Day) as well as Canada's and England's Remembrance day.

They will remember the fallen soldiers of other countries, just not their own.

They also chose not to use one for Columbus day, I guess because mean old Columbus wasn't nice to the natives. It is okay for the natives to kill each other, but not for anyone else to do so.

Even so, they could have done what many places do celebrate "Discover's Day" to remember all those brave discoverers through out history. That is a perfectly valid change.

I always enjoy your responses to a post...they are always analytical and thought-provoking; even if I don't always agree.
