Arnald was one wacky druggie back in the 70s. LOL. If you could shoot it up or smoke it... he liked it. He is so straight laced now.

As I understand there is a difference between drug users and drug abusers. As far as I know Arnold was only a user. Just as it was expected from a person in his position: celebrity, movie star, future governor, future president save for his place of birth.

I like what he says about Bush. Just can not figure out what it means in relations of using drugs.

Of course it's a drug. So are alcohol and tobacco.

Its just a common saying contrasting the largely detrimental and addictive effects of harder drugs.

I think his point is simply that of all drugs, legal and illegal, marijuana is the least dangerous to experiment with as a whole.

The first time someone gets drunk, or shoots heroin, if too much is taken, you can die. I don't think there has ever in the history of the world been someone (that was not allergic) to smoke too much reefer and die.

Yes, the news story is fairly pointless in the context they put it in, but in a discussion about prison overcrowding, federal marijuana prohibition laws, or even medical uses, his words are very honest to be coming from a Right-winger who isn't Ron Paul.

And caffiene. Why does everyone forget caffiene. It's the drug everyone forgets about.

If we're going to ban drugs, I think caffiene should definitely go. I have never been a coffee or coke drinker, but do I ever get shakey and wonky when I do consume these products! I do not see the difference between this and marijuana.

Caffeine is my drug of choice. I tend to drink Jolt Ultra. I know what you mean by shaky and wonky, though. I get that way when I drink energy drinks.

Here's a quote that you might like from the book 'Distress' by Greg Egan (for reference, it takes place in the year 2050).

"I tried caffeine once. It made me think I was awake and alert, but it turned my judgment to s***. Widespread use of caffeine explains a lot about the twentieth century"
