Flight Attendant Embellishes Posted: 12 months ago by 2manyusernames
A flight attendant obviously wanted to liven things up a bit for the crew and passengers.

I love when the flight crew has a sense of humor.

That was hilarious! I love it when the flight crew is cheerful and funny (ahem Air Canada, take note!).

Westjet pilots used to tell jokes right after landing; they still do sometimes. I like having a bit of a laugh - it makes boo-awful airline travel a wee bit more enjoyable.

I can remember a rough landing we had on a flight once where the flight attendant said, "Once I remove my teeth from the ceiling...." Another flight, was a SouthWest flight--which I think this was as well--had similar spiel...the in flight movie was "Gone With Wind" and the smoking was allowed on the wing of the plane. Funny.

I remember taking a flight on Southwest a few years ago during which the head flight attendant would get on the speaker every so often and whisper, "Don't eat the peanuts... they give you gas... we breathe recycled air..."

Wow, this is like, the BEST thing ever.
I flew as an unaccompanied minor a lot, and I always liked it when the flight attendants were nice and funny.
There was one who came and sat next to me with a magazine once during a massive delay; she must've been like, 21, and I was 13, so we weren't that far apart in age.
We sat and read the magazine together and pointed out clothes we liked, celebrities, etc.
It sure made that 3 hour delay a whole lot nicer.

I've been on a couple of flights with attendants that tried to liven things up. Always welcome and you actually listen to them...for a change.

A flight attendant said the exact same thing on a United flight I was once on. She also told us that "In the event this flight becomes a cruise, your seat cushion can be used as a flotation device." LOL

On a small flight from Chicago to Memphis, I flirted with the cute flight attendant. She moved me up to a row by myself and gave me free drinks. It also helped that I let her read my book Plane Insanity, which is chock full of a flight attendant's true stories of the skies. :)
