Got fleas? Get the vacuumPosted: 10 months ago by AutumnLotus Vacuum cleaners kill fleas just as well as any poison, surprised researchers said on Tuesday. They said a standard vacuum cleaner abuses the fleas so much it kills 96 percent of adult fleas and 100 percent of younger fleas. Comments: 11 Score: [-] 388 [+].

I bought premise spray, had flea powder, flea bombs, frontline and dip.
I vacuumed, bombed, sprayed and powered the floor and surfaces (washed all things that I could wash) and dipped and dosed the cats. I vacuumed again. Still fleas.
I had ordered this stuff called "cedarcide Best Yet" guaranteed to work. I put the stuff in the pump and sprayed everything (it's completely non-toxic and smells great, can be used on everything including the cats and food).
Far less fleas. I did it again a few days later. No more fleas.
It wasn't cheap ($75 a gallon $99 with the pump sprayers) but compared to what I spent on all the other stuff, it was even cheaper (check out the cost of Frontline alone...holy cow).
I don't have any affiliation with the cedarcide people but I HIGHLY recommend their product. I'll be buying more to have on hand for next year. They have awesome customer service too. Score: [-] 96 [+]. Posted: 10 months ago by dollyllama:

I mean what if it wasn't 100 fleas? What if it was 47 ticks? Or 129 leeches? Or 21 roaches, 192 mealworms, 4 oxen, and a woolen mitten?

NOT THE WOOLEN MITTEN!!!!
Oh, the Humanity!!
My old kittie loved being vaccuumed, actually. He'd lay in front of it when I was vacuuming the couches. He also let me dress him up in doll clothes when I as little. He wouldn't fuss; I think he liked it. My old kittie might have had some issues.... Score: [-] 57 [+]. We just merely and liberally sprinkled table salt throughout the house in the carpet and Voila! no more fleas.
Something about the salt acting like razors on their exoskeleton. Apparently it slices them open like a tin can and their tiny little guts and fluids leak out. Not a pleasant thought, but, then again, they ARE fleas. Score: [-] 33 [+]. Posted: 10 months ago by Bandit: THAT SUCKS! Score: [-] 61 [+]. <1>
