This really isn't that impressive. Not in the least. There is nothing he could have done with it. Despite the article, he couldn't have cashed it.

If by some miracle he was able to cash it, he wouldn't be able to hold onto the money when he went to prison.

Finding $185,000 in cash and turning it in, now that would be a sign of an admirable and righteous person.

Hell, I've found checks a number of times, only once was it for an extremely large amount. I just turned it into the bank or mailed it to the address on the person who wrote the check, didn't think anything of it or expect anything.

2many, I think it's the principle of the thing that counts in people's mind. People think in terms of intent rather than ability, at least in this case, but erm, yeah, I'm pretty sure you know that. Moving on.

"If you take something, you lose three times that amount —and if you do something good, something good comes back to you."

I must say, though, what cotton f**king self-sustaining candy cloud do these people live on?

On a different note, years ago when the family was experiencing dire straits financially speaking, my father received a check in the mail for $100, and while that wasn't going to pay the rent, my dad was appreciative and amused--there was no return address and the sender only identified themselves as "King's Kid".
