Iran's Revolutionary Guards say the US navy fabricated evidence that a convoy of its ships was harassed by Iranian speedboats in Gulf waters on Sunday.

« mandolinorange : i wouldn't be surprised either way. Yeah, me either. The audio sounds ridiculous (amm comeen fo'yooou), and Bush is very hesitant to say anything at all about it other than "it was a provocative act."
I can kind of see this as a ticket, a free pass. If anything happens, like going to war with Iran, who is now apparently considered "a serious threat to peace" by the Bush administration, support can be gained by reminding everyone how they threatened us.
On the other hand, if you were caught on tape taunting a US naval ship, wouldn't you say it was fake?
I can't really decide.

If the US navy blew up a few Iranian speed boats because they felt "threatened", we would be on the wrong side of that visit to the principal's office.
